1. Piston spring assembly kit - Kolbenschmidt (MSI) - WG1814892  

Meet our Kolbenschmidt piston ring assembly kit! This handy tool set includes piston ring pliers for different diameters, piston ring tensioners and a set of feeler gauges, all neatly organised in a sturdy tool case. Perfect for effortlessly fitting pistons and piston rings for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. No damage such as scratches, cracks and too much tension during assembly. 2. Bearing clearance measuring strip - ACL - WG1032032, WG1802904, WG1802903, WG1802905  

Indispensable when assembling plain bearings. Measuring the bearing clearance of the crankshaft and connecting rod bearings can easily be done with the measuring strips of, for example, Flexigauge from ACL, but also from Clevite. How to optimally use the product to measure the clearance of your bearings?

1. Remove the bearing cover
2. Wipe the taps and trays clean so they are oil and grease-free.
3. Place a measuring strip of the appropriate measuring range (see below) between the bearing and the bearing journal. 
4. Tighten the bolts to the prescribed torque.
5. Remove the bearing cap without rotating the shaft or bearings. 
6. Compare the width of the compressed strip with the scale on the table provided.
7. Compare the result with the recommended clearance.

3. Measuring bridge with measuring clock - Kolbenschmidt (MSI) - WG1821617, WG1889239 

When overhauling and assembling engines, correct adjustment of parts is essential. Take measuring the piston overhang, for example. This is essential for determining the correct thickness of head gasket after machining the block. With the handy measuring bridge, all required measurements can be determined quickly and easily. An indispensable tool for both passenger cars and commercial vehicles. The measuring bridge and clock can be ordered separately with WG numbers: WG1821617 and WG1889239.
