The originally Japanese DENSO Group (founded in 1949) consists of some 190 companies in 35 countries. Among other things, DENSO is Toyota's regular supplier, the largest even when it comes to electronics in cars.  

Some of the DENSO Group's spearheads, among others: a lot of attention to the environment and reducing traffic accidents thanks to cleverly applied techniques to make driving safer. Especially in electronics on board cars, DENSO is a real forerunner and a recognised A-quality supplier. Think of key components such as air masseters, all kinds of sensors, spark plugs, fuel pumps, starter motors and ECUs (Electronic Control Units), the advanced computers that control the engine management of cars, trucks, scooters and motorbikes. In practice, EMS is the collective name for a whole range of different products and components, each contributing its part to the optimal operation of a petrol or diesel engine. EMS involves electronic sensors of all shapes and sizes: for example, sensors that determine the timing of the camshaft or crankshaft, MAP sensors (Manifold Air Pressure sensor) and Lambda sensors (also known as Lambda sensors, which measure the oxygen content in exhaust gases). But also exhaust gas temperature sensors (EGTS for short). The information from the sensors is processed in the ECU, the electronic control unit. DENSO can also supply that unit.
