In this blog, learn more about the high-quality aftermarket valves from the Eaton brand. Eaton stands out by using innovative techniques in the production of their valves. Modern internal combustion engines are quite demanding. They are becoming increasingly compact, with higher power ratings, putting higher thermal stress on the valves. The development of valves and materials used is a continuous process at Eaton.
Eaton has been making various products for the automotive industry for a century, yet is best known as the market leader in valves for internal combustion engines. |
The qualities of Eaton valves lie in the design and in the materials used, for both the valve disc and the valve stem. By using different alloys, Eaton valves are resistant to high temperatures and wear-resistant. In addition (especially for performance and turbo engines), sodium-filled valves provide better and faster heat dissipation. A Special PVD coating ensures better "gas flow" and significantly reduces carbon deposits. Crutonitetm is an invention of Eaton engineers.

Crutonite is a high-temperature alloy with a lower percentage of nickel, which is as resistant to corrosion as common, nickel-based alloys. It is used, among others, in diesel engines with EGR, for both intake valves and exhaust valves. Crutonitetm contains on average 40% less nickel than the usual so-called "superalloys" for valves. The advantage of this is that the price of the valves is less subject to the highly fluctuating price of nickel.
With 100 years of valve experience, Eaton is a valued OE supplier for Wilmink Engine Parts.
