In this category you will find everything concerning the tappets, tows and rocker arms for your vehicle’s engine block. These parts take care of the valve control of the engine block in collaboration with the camshaft(s). The rocker arm is mounted in the cylinder head on the rocker arm shaft. This part transfers the force from the camshaft to the valve in order to open it. The rocker arm is operated by a push rod in an engine block with underlying camshafts or directly by the camshaft in the case of an engine with overhead camshafts. When parts such as tows and rocker arms must be replaced, they should be replaced at the same time. This is because these parts are in direct contact with each other and wear on each other. Here you will find the correct counter nut adjusting bolt to adjust and secure the rocker arm to the valve spring.
In motors with an underlying camshaft, guide plates are used to guide the push rods.
Hydraulic tappets are self-adjusting and do not require adjustment like older engines without hydraulic tappets. The hydraulic tappets are mainly used in engines with overhead camshafts, with which almost every modern car is equipped. The tappets are powered by the oil pressure in the engine block, allowing them to work silently. In some cases, the tappets can be heard when the engine is started, as the tappets are not (yet) supplied with oil. Good tappets really hold their oil so they are silent when starting. When tappets are permanently tapping, they are defective and/or clogged from the inside, so no oil pressure is retained in the tappets. In addition to the tappets themselves, there are also various individual parts and accessories available for these tappets.
A tow is a valve control mechanism with a similar function to a rocker arm. One side of the tow rests on a fixed point, as on the tappet, with the other end operating the valve. In addition to complete tows, there are also individual tow parts available such as a small shaft or a individual nut.
The push rod tube is a hollow tube that guides the push rod from the bottom block to the cylinder head. This is a part that is used in an engine block with an underlying camshaft; these are usually somewhat older engines.
The rocker arm bridge is a bridge on which the rocker arms are mounted for valve operation. The centre points of the rocker arms are attached to the rocker arm bridge so that they can tilt around their shaft to provide valve operation.
The rocker arm bearing bracket is a type of holder in which the rocker arm shaft rotates and to which the rocker arm is connected. The pivot point of the rocker arm is around the rocker arm shaft which is mounted in this holder.
