Passenger cars have been produced for many years. The very first cars were powered by steam engines, with fuel engines being used from 1806. However, it took years before the car was taken into 'mass production'. In 1878 Nikolaus Otto made a few improvements and the gas engine became a success. In 1885, Gottlieb Daimler applied for a patent on the high-speed combustion engine. In that same year Carl Benz built a (three-wheel) car with a petrol engine. Several other manufacturers started to improve combustion engines. After years of development, the passenger car as we know it today came into being. Wilmink Engine Parts supplies many products for passenger cars, such as head gaskets, pistons, cylinder heads, seals and bolts. But we can also supply complete engines, special applications and customisation. The brand range for this application is very diverse. Wilmink Engine Parts supplies a range of component brands, varying from large OE suppliers to more specific brands. |
