In this product category you will find various types of filters for your vehicle, from oil filters and air filters to hydraulic filters. The primary function of these filters is to filter air or liquid in order to keep the closed system free of dirt and to prevent excessive wear and tear. This category also includes the various accessories, such as the lids for a fuel filter (housing) or various materials to mount the filters. If you have any questions or would like advice, please contact our product specialists. They will be happy to assist you.
This is a small air filter for crankcase ventilation. This air filter is usually mounted on or to the valve cover or in the intake section. This filter ensures that there is less hot air in the intake section and less accumulation of oil residues in the engine block. Here you will also find the active carbon filter for tank bleeding, among other products.
The fuel filter ensures that the fuel from the tank is filtered when it is supplied to the gallery of injectors on the engine block. If contaminated fuel is fed to the injection gallery and the injectors, the fuel system can become clogged and/or defective. Especially with modern engines (both petrol and diesel), the timely replacement of the fuel filter is important because the injection pressure is considerably higher than in the past. Some vehicles have multiple fuel filters in their supply line. When changing the fuel filter, also check the condition of the fuel line(s) and connections to prevent leakage.
The oil filter housing is attached to the engine block and houses the oil filter. A common problem with many cars is leakage from the oil filter housing; the cause of this is the gasket with which the oil filter housing is attached to the engine block. In some cases, this can lead to unpleasant situations if, for example, the oil leaks for a long time on (cooling) hoses and ancillary power units such as the alternator.
The hydraulic filter is used for filtering the power steering and the automatic transmission, among other things. The filter ensures that contamination in the oil is collected so that it can no longer circulate in the system, which in turn could cause internal damage.
The interior filter ensures fresh and clean air in the vehicle’s interior by filtering the outside air. These filters should be replaced according to the manufacturer’s instructions; often this is every 2 years or with every 2nd vehicle service. If this filter is old and dirty, unpleasant odours can become trapped and enter the car.
As the name suggests, the air filter cleans the outside air before it enters the combustion engine. Usually the maintenance interval is every 2nd vehicle service. When driving in humid and/or dusty environments, it is advisable to replace the air filter more frequently because of a higher degree of contamination. When the air filter is old or clogged, the internal combustion engine takes in less air, which can lead to poor engine performance. In some cases, the paper air filter can also break down, allowing contamination to be sucked directly into the engine, resulting in damage. It also affects the air mass sensor, which is usually mounted directly behind the air filter.
The oil filter primarily filters the oil before it is pumped back into the engine block from the sump. During a service, changing the oil filter is at least as important as changing the oil itself. After some time, the oil filter is saturated and no longer absorbs anything.
This category includes, for example, an air filter or fuel filter for a bypass system.
The urea filter is the liquid filter for filtering AdBlue additive.
